Holy crap.
HO.LY.CRAP.
So I’ve been seriously contemplating changing my major(s) from Biology and Spanish to a Sports Medicine major and Spanish minor as of late, yes?
At first, I thought that this would put me behind because of the course scheduling of these particular programs.
But.
The other day, while I was working on calculus at 2 in the morning, I decided to write up a four-year plan for this possibility using my university’s catalogues and course requirements.
It looked like it made my aspiration of Scholar’s Semester at Oxford an absolute impossibility.
But.
Tonight, I was going over which courses I could rearrange or even take during “May-mesters” or through the local community college during the summers.
It just so happened that I could get every single course from the Fall Semester of my senior year taken care of through other means. Without exceeding 18 hours per semester.

AS IF TODAY COULD NOT GET ANY BETTER
I just got an e-mail notifying me that my director from “The Importance of Being Earnest” just nominated me for Best Actress in my university’s ARTIE Awards this semester. As a freshman. And I will be up against other nominees from every production from both last semester and this semester. While I don’t exactly expect to win, considering the absolutely amazing actresses against whom I am nominated, the fact that I even got nominated by my director (a woman of whom I have the utmost respect) is an honor.

Despite what crap that life has been trying to throw at me lately, greater things still happen.
Excuse me while I do my happy dance of the next few hours.
